Greenlit means a project is officially a go, so all you have to do is follow these leads to stay up to date. You never know where you’ll find an opportunity to land an audition.

It’s a reunion that transcends all elements: Ben Affleck is back with Jason Momoa and will appear in the upcoming “Aquaman” sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.” While you’ll have to dive deep for some possible plot details for the new film, find out everything we know about the Warner Bros./DC project (including casting information) below.

“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” Casts Ben Affleck

Fresh off the excitement of his recent nuptials, Ben Affleck is reuniting with another long-time collaborator. The actor is reprising his role as Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” opposite Jason Momoa as the titular Aquaman, a.k.a Arthur Miller.

It was Momoa who was first to break the news ahead of the official comment by Warner Bros., sharing a post of photos on Instagram. He captioned the post: “REUNITED bruce and arthur.”

Affleck’s Batman previously appeared opposite Momoa’s Aquaman in 2017’s “Justice League” and 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Both actors are also set to appear in next year’s “The Flash.”

Affleck will reportedly replace Michael Keaton in the film, who was supposed to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader. Instead, Keaton will appear as planned in “The Flash.” According to Movieweb, test audiences were confused by Keaton’s inclusion in the “Aquaman” sequel considering the plan had always been to reintroduce him in “The Flash.”

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick returns to pen the screenplay on his own this time with James Wan back to direct. Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park, and others are set to star opposite Momoa and Affleck.

“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is due in theaters on March 17, 2023. Anne McCarthy and Kellie Roy return as casting directors with Lucinda Syson.
